Director Statement

Sometimes you have to seize an opportunity.

One day at work I happened to wander into an area of the third floor that I hadn’t been in before. Lo and behold, I discovered a recently abandoned office space looking like something out of the apocalypse. I had this immediate sense of hypocrisy, sensing the gulf between what such a large workspace promises (success, money, stability), alongside the reality of a business overextending itself and making false claims.

I knew I had to shoot something, and quickly. I gathered together my favorite collaborators, all of whom I knew would be game for anything, and set about making the
short film “Cubicle”, which expresses my sense of condemnation for shady practices that are rampant in the business world, albeit with a wink and smile.
