Director Biography – Omer Faruk Baran
He was born in 1989 in Suruç. He is journalist, writer, and photographer. ”Translation” is the director’s first short film.
Director Statement
By this film called ”Tercûme” which means ”Translation” in English, we want to show the borders between languages. This film focuses on incomplete dialogues between translator, the guide and doctors which try to cross border of Turkey and Syria illegally in 2015.
